Cognitive Workshop – R1600.00

Cognitive impairments go beyond cognition; it has a devastating impact on the lives of those affected (Hussenoeder et al., 2020).

Cognitive rehabilitation is a systematic therapeutic activity-oriented functional intervention. However, it is complex because it comprises multiple domains, including attention, memory, visual perception, language, cognitive-linguistics, executive functioning and other features (Zhao et al., 2021). This workshop will provide clinicians with insight into cognitive rehabilitation, focusing on the clinical reasoning around the assessment and treatment of cognition using a functional interdisciplinary approach in physical rehabilitation. We will obtain insights from occupational therapy, speech-language therapy and neuropsychology and include aspects of vision and vocational rehabilitation.
